Talk and demo html5 evolution on Android. Find out latest and upcoming html5 capabilities on Android. Discuss standardization and Google's html5 submissions. Sketch the future vision on Html5 amalgamated with the native env.

Outline

The mobile experience and the way it manifests itself using the OS is best done today through native apps, but the mobile web is catching up, standards are fast evolving and large internet companies / groups, across open and closed ecosystems are advancing html5 features at lightening pace. In this session we will talk about, - The advancement of html5 on Android browser and platform. - Future possibilities of a integrated html5 and app environment. - Demo latest html5 features (phone / tablet)

Speaker bio

Gulzar heads emerging market solutions for Google in Asia Pacific. Over the last 11 years Gulzar has led research, product and business development in wireless systems, messaging protocols and internet services for several organizations.
Gulzar ventured into entrepreneurship with a technology startup in 2002, to create mobile gateways and applications for India and international markets. He is an almuni of IIM Bangalore, with a executive management program in 2006, and holds a Computer Science degree, batch of 1999 from DAVV University, India. Gulzar has been with Google for the past five years and has helped execute Google's strategic partnership initiatives for mobile in various areas such as Search, SMS, HTML5, Monetization, Android and YouTube.
