I presented this session at Droidcon 2011 and it was voted among the most popular sessions (at least on the humor quotient :).= I plan to do an encore this year to educate developers about the Titanium platform and leverage your hard won web skills into native Android applications that perform and look just like they were written in Java.
<br>P.S - I'm not paid by Appcelerator for this so it's a fairly unbiased session based on my experience of using Titanium over last 3 years :)
Basic Web Development Skills - If you can write Hello World in HTML, you're in!<br> Eclipse - If the word Eclipse means beyond solar and lunar, you're in!
Gaurav Kheterpal eats, sleeps and breathes mobile development :) He's been working on app development since the early days of J2ME and Brew and is currently engaged on native (iOS, Android), hybrid and mobile web development. He has been working in the telecom/ mobile industry for more than 12 years and he's presented sessions at leading mobile and open source conferences including Mobile Monday events, Dreamforce 2012, Droidcon 2011 and several others.
He has won numerous developer events/ hackathons including BB Jam, SFDC Mobile Challenge and several others.
He's an expert on Appcelerator Titanium (aka Titan) and a Titanium Certified App (TCAD) Developer. He has an excellent understanding of the complete gamut of native vs hybrid vs. HTML5 debate and has tried his hand at almost all platforms that exist :)
When he's not developing apps, he's busy blogging on technology/ telecom/ mobile topics, spending time with his family or catching up on his long lost sleep.
