Objective

Understanding basic concepts of GPU programming to hardware accelerate graphics and compute programs. We will discuss about OpenGL API for graphics programming and briefly introduce Renderscript API for High Performance computing

Description

We will describe about basic of GPU, how the OpenGL pipeline works, using shader programs to get high performance graphics and using renderscript to do high performance computing

Requirements

Basic understanding of graphics concepts and familiarity with terms like GPU, OpenGL. Take a look at these slides http://www.slideshare.net/darvind/opengles-android-graphics that gives a high level overview of graphics. If this http://www.quora.com/Whats-the-best-tutorial-on-OpenGL/answer/Arvind-Devaraj piques your interest, this talk is for you.
