Abstract

Lot of talks have been going around to build solutions for the last billion consumers or soluions for consumers in the emerging markets. Most of the ideas that go around is to replicate the solutions that have been developed in the west to countries like India/China etc. Emering Economy nations have a different set of challenges. For example: a mHealth Telemetry model which could work very well in the US, will not work in India. There are lot of constraints like lack of connectivity, low end devices, semi-literate users etc. The primary intention of the talk is to share our experiences from award winning solutions (2014 - EyeConnect & 2016 GPower won the Vodafone Mobile for Good Award), the technology choices, the process that we had followed to engineer a predictable mobile application delivery that could work very well in the field without any surprises, with all the constraints that are native to developing nations. The talk would also highlight about the use of novel solutions IoT, Block Chain Technology, Connected Internet and the ways of utilizing BaaS & APaaS platform for rapid application development.

Will provide citations from the IEEE papers that we had authored in the field of Healthcare & Agriculture.
